Do's and Don'ts
Don't leave the kids at home.Atlanta's more then just a Delta hub, it's a vibrant metropolis and a great place to bring the kids.
Do check out the world's largest aquarium,
the Georgia AquariumThere's also Zoo Atlantawhich recently welcomed both two panda cubs and a newborn baby gorilla.
Don't stay downtown.Downtown has some benefits, such as putting you close to main tourist sites.
Do stay at mom-and-pop bed-and-breakfastssuch as the Social Goat Bed and Breakfast in Grand Park.
Don’t even think of letting that meter expire.PARKAtlanta’s meter maids will slap a ticket on your vehicle the second your time is done. Do not test them...
Do keep track of your time.
Don’t limit yourself to the big-ticket sights downtown. That'd be like going to New York and never leaving Times Square.
Do venture out to the in-town neighborhoods where locals gather.Check out dining in the Westside, the thrift-store finds in Little Five Points and the nightlife in the Old Fourth Ward.
Don't ask for a Pepsi, or a "pop."We've never heard of such things.
Do understand that you can have any soft drink you like......as long as it's from Coca-Cola.
