The Chattanooga Airport is more than a transportation hub. It is where our region takes flight. Where businesses arrive to see if their ideas takeoff in Chattanooga, and where our entrepreneurs spread their wings.
Since 2012, more passengers are boarding our planes every year. Our non-stop flights to popular destinations like Chicago, Dallas, Charlotte, and other major hubs have almost doubled. The number of airfield-based aircraft has grown from 76 planes to almost 100. Our terminal parking spaces have increased with the addition of the airport’s new covered parking garage. Not only is parking faster and more affordable but saves you time to and from your destinations.
But we haven’t stopped there. We’ve just completed the largest expansion to the passenger terminal in more than 30 years.
We’re proud to announce the opening of our new 26,000 square foot terminal expansion. An addition that includes three new passenger gates with jet bridges to expedite passenger boarding and deplaning. We’ve also increased the area of our TSA check point to allow faster entry.
The post-security side brings new concessions and additional restrooms, plus a 2,570 square foot restaurant with seating for 70 in the dining area and 24 at the bar. In addition to the new concourse, we’ve also renovated 36,000 sq ft of the existing concourse.
A third new bridge – Gate 6 – was added to the end of the former main concourse and will support additional flights and routes as the airport continues to grow its destination base.
