Chattanooga Airport Set To Begin Parking Lot Reconstruction
Passengers Encouraged to Heed Construction Signage When Parking
(February 28, 2005) - The short- and long-term parking lots at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport will be under construction beginning March 7. The project will be divided into several phases to minimize the impact to local passengers. The week before an area will be closed for construction, signage will be posted indicating what dates the work will begin in a particular area, and that passengers should only park in that area if their return date falls before the posted start date. Any cars left in the posted area on the start date will be moved to an adjoining lot.
To assist the passengers through this process, the Airport Authority recommends: Parking in the Intermediate Lot - it will not be under construction at any time during this process When parking in Short or Long Term, follow the directions on the signage (cars WILL be moved on the posted date!) For assistance in locating a vehicle that was parked in an area that is now cleared, contact Airport Police at 855-2204.
This project will be completed as quickly as possible in an effort to minimize the inconvenience to all local passengers, but it is important to remember that construction schedules are weather dependent. The Airport thanks local passengers for their patience as the parking lots are improved to better serve the community.
