Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Sees Growth In 2004
First Year of Significant Growth Since 1999
(January 21, 2005) - The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport increased enplanements (passenger boardings) in 2004 by 3.06%, ending the year with 244,470 total boardings. Deplanements for the year rose by 3.25%, reaching 239,688. Total passenger traffic through the Chattanooga Airport in 2004 was 484,158.
"Thanks to the support of our community partners, the Chattanooga Airport has reversed a years-long trend of declining enplanements," said Mike Landguth, President and CEO of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority. "As our fares become more and more competitive and we continue adding flight options for local travelers, we look forward to building on the steady growth we have seen in 2004."
Effective February 7, 2005, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport will offer 27 daily departures on American Eagle, Delta Connection Carriers, Northwest Airlink and US Airways Express with nonstop service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Washington D.C.
