Nonstop service from Chattanooga to Washington, D.C. to resume April 3 as air travel industry rebounds

American Airlines will resume nonstop service from Chattanooga to Washington, D.C. beginning Saturday, April 3, 2021. As the air travel industry continues to improve and more travelers choose to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, the return of nonstop service to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) reflects the continuous resurgence of the air travel industry. 

"Passenger confidence continues to build with each passing month," said Terry Hart, president and CEO of the Chattanooga Airport. "We very much appreciate American and all of our airline partners for their commitment to providing convenient access to our nonstop destinations as travelers feel more and more comfortable traveling by air." 

American is adding six weekly flights to DCA, departing at 7:31 a.m. Monday through Saturday. In addition, beginning May 6, American will add a fourth daily non-stop flight to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The Chattanooga Airport anticipates additional flights will be added to the schedule in the coming months.
