Delta Airlines Announces New Service Between Chattanooga and Detroit
(May 4, 2010) - Delta Air Lines has announced that it will offer daily nonstop service from its Detroit World Gateway to Chattanooga, Tennessee beginning September 7, 2010.
The new Chattanooga - Detroit service will be operated by Delta Connection using 50-seat regional jet aircraft.
"Nonstop service to Detroit just makes good business sense for a region like ours which has become a hub for the auto manufacturing sector," said Mike Landguth, President and CEO of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority. "This new air service is another indication of the tremendous impact that Volkswagen is having on our community, and travelers across the region are the beneficiaries."
Beginning on Saturday, May 8, the new flights between Chattanooga and Detroit will be available for booking at www.delta.com, through travel agencies or by calling Delta Air Lines Reservations at 1-800-221-1212.
